Disabilities Accessibility Guidelines
(A.D.A.A.G.)
The following information is provided as a convenience to the clients of Identity Solutions.
Although we are very knowledgeable on A.D.A.A.G. with regards to signage, it is nearly impossible to keep abreast of all the rulings, updates and codes that local municipalities choose to enforce.
With that being said, our team of designers and consultants will make suggestions on what types of signs to use when it comes to your facility and where to use them. However, it is up to you to become familiar with your local code and determine exactly what would be required for you to meet the local, state and federal requirements of the A.D.A.A.G.
For more information on the federal guidelines related to accessibility, we recommend that you visit the Federal government web site at http://www.ada.gov.
In Pennsylvania, A.D.A.A.G. is enforced by your local construction official and is regulated on the state level through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Their web site is http://www.dli.state.pa.us/
